Primitive Antique European Wardrobe

This stunning example of 19th century primitive craftsmanship features a commanding silhouette and a deep, oxidized patina. The solid wood construction has been recently treated with a fresh wax finish, and salvaged solid brass hardware hand picked and added to keep the authenticity of the age of this piece.

This versatile cabinet could function beautifully as a linen press, a kitchen pantry, or a traditional wardrobe. The interior has an original hanging rod and two deep shelves, plus supports to easily add a third, plus spacious lower drawer.

Condition

This wardrobe has age related patina and wear including but not limited to small cracks, dents and scratches in wood, wear to finish in spots, and more.There is minor loss to the upper crown molding on the sides, and the right door swings slightly inward but only when pushed. It remains in exceptionally solid and sturdy condition, offered at a price that reflects these marks of time. Please note there are also pieces of missing trim and cracking at the base. Please be sure to expect the beautiful patina, age-related wear, and "character marks" inherent to authentic antiques.
