Exceptionally fine, authentic antique English George III period mahogany chest of drawers, dating to the late 18th to early 19th century. A true piece of art and craftsmanship featuring rich, vibrant mahogany grain, traditional solid brass bail pulls, and classic bracket feet.
Crafted with a desirable two over three drawer configuration, this chest features solid oak secondary drawer linings and hand-cut dovetail joinery. The piece is in wonderful antique condition with a warm, glowing historic patina and age appropriate character. It is structurally sound and solid, with drawers that operate smoothly. There is some slight lifting on the outside edge of the top surface veneer, see photographs for closer detail. Overall a beautiful piece of history.
