2024 Christmas Tour
Hi Friends!
Whew, what a holiday season it has been. I can't believe how fast December has flown by—it feels like just yesterday we were kicking off the month, and now here we are, wrapping things up already! I’ve been meaning to create and share this post for some time, but it’s taken me almost all of the Christmas season to fully decorate my home. Between school events, Christmas outings, cookie decorating, and playdates, the days have been such a whirlwind!
I really do love this season despite it being a messy, chaotic, fun, full time of life with two young ones. And while I might not have gotten around to everything I wanted to do in the Christmas decor department, there’s something about this season that makes it feel like everything is just as it should be—imperfect, yet magical.
The holiday season is always so much more than just the decorations or the gifts—it’s about those little moments, the laughter during family movie nights, the joy of seeing my kids' faces light up as we bake cookies, the excitement when we finally get around to hanging our stockings (they’re still not up yet), even if everything else feels like it’s happening at warp speed.
Here are the long-awaited photos of my downstairs all dolled up for Christmas! This year, I barely touched the Target aisles when it came to new decor, in fact I hardly bought anything new at all. Instead, I stuck with what we've curated and collected over the years as a family. There’s so much sentimental value in the pieces we’ve gathered—lots of vintage and handmade ornaments from the girls, classic red ribbon that’s been a staple for as long as I can remember, and a few nods to my childhood like the vintage L.L.Bean advent calendar that we used as kids (featuring our yearly batch salt dough ornaments). Of course, there are also all the Paperwhites I could find spots for, I love them so much! Their delicate smell brings me right back to my childhood when my mom had them in our home this time of year. It’s one of those little things that never fails to make everything feel extra warm and nostalgic.
So, here's to slowing down just a little, soaking in the season, and remembering that sometimes the most beautiful moments are the ones that come from the messiest, most chaotic times.

Decorating the house has been a whole journey in itself. It’s not always easy to balance holiday cheer with everyday life, but every little bit of holiday magic we’ve managed to add in makes me so grateful. This season has been about embracing the chaos and letting go of perfection. My home might not be a Pinterest-worthy winter wonderland, but it’s filled with love, warmth, and a whole lot of memories new and old.
As the month tapers down, I’m preparing to dive into wrapping gifts, finalizing our Christmas Eve and Day menus, and snuggling up with my family in our Christmas jammies. It feels like the perfect way to close out the year—cozied up by the fire with the ones I love, surrounded by all the little traditions that make this time of year so special.
Wishing you all the joy and peace of the season, and may you find little pockets of calm amid all the hustle and bustle. You’ve got this!
